Sorry that my blog posts haven’t been all that regular lately, but I have been busy with a lot of tournament coverage the past couple of weeks…as well as my “day job” as the Radio Results Network news director.
But, I can tell you, it has been a fun start to the high school playoff season, and it only gets better from here. Unfortunately, that means a number of our teams have already been eliminated. But that also means that our U.P. teams will start to go nose-to-nose with the Lower Peninsula “trolls”!
Great season for Josh Eagle and the Bark River-Harris girls basketball team. The girls lost a heartbreaker in the regional championship game Thursday night to Crystal Falls Forest Park. Sometimes, I’d rather lose by 30 points than to be oh-so-close and then have it slip away in the final seconds. But that’s how tournaments go!
Boys district championship games are tonight. We will have the Gladstone-Menominee game on Kool 105.5 FM and NewsTalk 600 AM, and the North Central-Bark River-Harris game on Eagle 107.3 FM.
Should be fun…if my very sore throat lets me do it, that is!
Oh, and don’t forget to tune in to our big Radio Results Network auction with Rick Duerson from 7:00 until noon this morning. There are tons of great deals ready to be scooped up!
